Best Restaurants in West Maui: Where to Eat in 2025

Whether watching the sunset from Kaanapali Beach or strolling through historic Lahaina, West Maui is a food lover’s dream. West Maui restaurants offer everything from fresh island fish to tropical cocktails and beachfront brunch, making this region home to some of the best dining on Maui.

After visiting Maui annually since 2006, I’ve eaten at restaurants in West Maui, with repeat stops at local gems and exciting new finds. In this guide, I’ll share my top picks for Maui restaurants in Kaanapali, must-try Lahaina restaurants, and my go-to Kaanapali beach restaurants that serve flavor with a side of aloha.

This guide features the dining possibilities in the West Maui area as they navigate the aftermath of the devastating Lahaina wildfire. As of April 2025, this information is current with what is currently open in West Maui.

Let’s come together as a community and lend a helping hand to these businesses, which play a vital role in helping people rebuild their lives.

Top Ka’anapali Restaurants with Stunning Views

Wild Mushroom Pizza from Monkeypod Kitchen in Ka'anapali Beach

Monkeypod at Whalers Village

Imagine sitting on a balcony, the sun setting over the horizon, and a delicious Mai Tai in hand. That’s what you get at Monkeypod Kitchen. Located at Whaler’s Village, this place has an atmosphere that’s hard to beat.

Try their Garlic Truffle Oil Fries or the Hamakua Wild Mushroom Pizza. Don’t forget to leave room for the Strawberry Cream Pie! We think the Mai Tai at Monkeypod is the best on the island, thanks to its honey lilikoi foam.

They have an exclusive Maui Brewing Company beer, Barefoot Brew. My husband is a fan of the Barefoot Brew and swears that Hula Grill has the coldest beer on the island. At the bar, you can see the temperature of the tap cooler.
