The Christkindlmarket at Zurich’s Main Train Station is one of the largest indoor markets in Europe.

For a truly immersive experience, head to Wienachtsdorf at Sechseläutenplatz. This market has a distinct Alpine feel and a cozy village atmosphere.
The wooden chalets house a wide array of unique gifts, from handmade jewelry to traditional Swiss handicrafts. Children and families will adore the ice skating rink and the enchanting carousel, making it a perfect destination for all ages.
This was our favorite Christmas Market in Zurich. It is located next to the Zurich Opera House and on Lake Zurich. The cozy chalet with great food vendors and shopping attracted us the most of all this Market in Zurich.
This market is cashless. It is also eco friendly by using reusable plates, cups, and silverware. There is a small fee for deposit that will be returned at either the bar that it was purchased or depot houses.

Alongside the spectacular light displays, the Weihnachtsallee features charming market stalls offering a variety of seasonal delights, handcrafted gifts, and gourmet treats, making it an essential stop for anyone looking to immerse themselves in the holiday spirit.
At one end of the Europaallee at Gustav-Gull-Platz, there is a Fondue Chalet. On the other end, the GlüehwIi Dome Bar is located.
Dome Bar is open Mon – Saturday, 11.00 am – 12.00 am; Sunday, 11.00 am – 10.00 pm.
Fondue Bar is open Monday – Sunday, 11.00 am – 12.00 am between 14.00 – 17.00, only walk-in and a small menu. Reservations are suggested at all other times.
Zürcher Weihnachtsallee

On December 19, 2024, at 6 pm, hundreds of tiny lanterns are launched from Stadthausquai and set afloat down the Limmat River.
