This is the most up-to-date information on what is open in West Maui as of March 2025. This information has been updated since the 2023 Wildfire that destroyed Lahaina Town. As this community tries to heal from the fire’s devastation, please support local businesses and tip your wait staff.

For me, mornings in Maui always start with breakfast by the ocean; it’s one of the rituals that I look forward to year after year.
After nearly two decades of trips to Lahaina and Kāʻanapali, I’ve learned that breakfast here is more than just a meal. It’s a chance to sip Kona coffee while watching surfers paddle out, to share fluffy banana macadamia nut pancakes with your family, or to grab a quick bite before heading out on a snorkeling trip.
The trouble is, with so many options, it’s hard to know where to go, especially if it’s your first visit. That’s why I’ve rounded up my favorite breakfast spots in Lahaina and Kāʻanapali.
Some are oceanfront classics worth the wait, others are local gems where you’ll find more residents than tourists, and a few are perfect for families or couples looking for something special.
And because I want your mornings to be stress-free, I’ve included insider tips: what to order, when to go, and little details only someone who’s been back to Maui year after year would know.
So grab your coffee, and let’s dive into the best breakfasts in Lahaina and Kāʻanapali, plus a few ideas for how to make the most of your Maui mornings once your plate is clean.
